RDP Features:

●Improve bonding strength and cohesion
In cement dry powder mortar products, the addition of redispersible latex powder is extremely necessary. It is very obvious to improve the bonding strength and cohesion of the material. This is because the polymer particles penetrate into the pores and capillaries of the cement matrix and form good cohesive strength after hydration with the cement. Because of the excellent adhesion of the polymer resin itself, it improves the adhesion of cement mortar products to the substrate, especially the inorganic binder of cement is bonded to organic substrates such as wood, fiber, PVC and EPS. The improvement of sex is more obvious.
●Improve bending and tensile resistance
In the rigid skeleton formed by the hydration of cement mortar, the polymer film is elastic and tough. Between the particles of the cement mortar, it functions like a movable joint and can withstand high deformation loads, reducing stress and making tensile and bending resistance are improved.
●Improve impact resistance
The redispersible latex powder is thermoplastic resin. The soft film coated on the surface of the mortar particles can absorb the impact of external forces and relax without damaging, thereby improving the impact resistance of the mortar.
●Improve water repellency and reduce water absorption
Adding redispersible latex powder can improve the microstructure of cement mortar. The polymer forms an irreversible network during the cement hydration process, closes the capillary in the cement gel body, blocks the absorption of moisture, prevents the penetration of moisture, and improves the impermeability.
●Improved abrasion resistance and durability
Adding re-dispersible latex powder can increase the density of cement mortar particles and polymer film. The enhanced bonding force correspondingly improves the ability of the mortar to bear the shear stress, which reduces the wear rate, improves the wear resistance, and extends the service life of the mortar.
●Improve freeze-thaw stability  effectively prevent material from cracking
Redispersible latex powder, the plasticity of its thermoplastic resin, can overcome the thermal expansion and contraction damage of cement mortar material caused by temperature difference. Overcoming the shortcomings of simple cement mortar with large shrinkage deformation and easy cracking, it can make the material flexible, thereby improving the long-term stability of the material.
3. Typical applications
●Adhesives for ceramic tiles and construction
RDP is used to make a thin layer of hydraulic adhesive with good frost resistance, we recommend using 30~50% cement, 50~70% quartz sand, 1~4% RDP redispersible latex powder and 0.15~ 0.5% high-viscosity cellulose ether (if anti-sag property is required). If necessary, organic fibers can also be added to improve sag resistance. To make the adhesive have high plasticity at very low temperature (less than 0 ℃).
●Adhesive for exterior wall insulation finish system (EIFS)
The hydraulic powder adhesive used in the exterior wall thermal insulation finish system should contain 25~45% cement, 4~6% RDP redispersible latex powder and 0.1~0.3% cellulose ether water-retaining agent. The above adhesive has excellent adhesion to the foamed polystyrene board. However, since the sheet is made by thermal cutting, it is necessary to pay attention to the sheet surface to avoid being too bright. It is important to perform an adhesion test for extruded polystyrene sheets in advance.
●Self-leveling floor
It is recommended to add 1.5~12% of RDP redispersible latex powder and 0.3~0.8% of casein when preparing self-leveling floor materials. To obtain a fast setting system, it is necessary to use Portland cement together with high alumina cement. Usually, a certain defoamer needs to be added.
For self-leveling materials without casein, redispersible latex powder can be used together with other superplasticizers, such as: melamine, lignin sulfonate or naphthalene sulfonate condensate, etc. Excellent effect.
● Batch material
Adding 2~4% of redispersible latex powder with 0.2~0.3% of high-viscosity fiber ethers for wall smoothing, thin coating of putty, etc., can significantly improve the adhesion, wear resistance and flexibility of the above materials Sex.
●Plastering and finishing mortar
Adding 1~4% of RDP redispersible latex powder to cement or lime-cement-based decorative plaster can improve its adhesion, wear resistance and flexibility. In addition, it is recommended to add 0.2~0.4% cellulose ether, starch ether or a mixture of the two.

●Internal wall batch material, putty and caulk
According to different strength requirements, 2 to 15% of RDP redispersible latex powder and other organic additives such as cellulose ethers and starch ethers need to be added.
●Modification of gypsum and anhydrous gypsum-based materials
Adding RDP redispersible latex powder to repair materials and gypsum board using gypsum as adhesive can improve the flexural strength, impact resistance and adhesive strength of the product. To improve water retention, additives such as cellulose ether can be added. It should be noted that the addition of water-retaining agent and redispersible latex powder N will increase the air content of the mortar. For some special cases, it may be necessary to add a certain defoamer.
RDP Redispersible latex powder is also very suitable for self-leveling floor materials based on gypsum and anhydrous gypsum. The recommended dosage is 2~6%.
●Processing and using process of dry-mixed mortar
For the production of powder-type dry-mixed mortar products, whether it is the production of adhesives or batch materials, the RDP redispersible latex powder and other dry powder materials are mixed in an appropriate mixing equipment. During the mixing process, the temperature should not rise too high, otherwise it will cause the coagulation of the thermoplastic redispersible powder, thus forming small resin agglomerates.
After the dry-mixed mortar is added with a sufficient amount of water during use, it can be stirred manually or mechanically. Because the shear force generated by manual stirring is small, it is best to let the stirred mixture stand for 5 minutes for aging, and then use it after stirring. This step is not necessary when using forced spiral mechanical stirring.
4. Other information
●Storage
RDP Redispersible latex powder must be stored in a cool place and protected from moisture. Because this product has thermoplasticity, it should be stored under high temperature to avoid compression, otherwise there will be a risk of agglomeration. Starting from delivery and delivery, the storage time should not exceed 6 months.
Redispersible latex powder can be mixed with hydraulic binders, fillers and pigments to improve storage stability, because these substances have the effect of preventing coagulation. However, the above mixture still needs to be protected from moisture.
