Fiberglass Admixture in Construction Materals

Fiberglass : A nonmetallic nonmetal materials, with good insulation, heat resistance, high mechanical strength, but brittle and poor wear resistance. It is made from glass ball and waste glass, by high temperature founding, draw bench, winding, weaving technology, its diameter is from a few nanometers to over 20 microns.

Application

Fiberglass can be used as a reinforced materials in reinforced concrete, gypsum board and others.

Main composition : Silica, Alumina and boron oxide and magnesium oxide, calcium oxide, sodium oxide, etc.. According to the amount of alkali content, the fiberglass can be divided into non-alkali fiberglass (0%~2% sodium oxide, aluminum boron silicate fiberglass, also called E-fiberglass), a medium alkali (8%~12% sodium oxide, boron or boron sodium calcium glass, also called C-fiberglass) and high alkali glass fiber (more than 13% sodium oxide, sodium calcium silicate glass).

E - fiberglass : Easy to be corroded by inorganic acid erosion, weak in acidic environment;
C - fiberglass : acid resistance is better than E fiberglass, but mechanical strength is lower;
AR - fiberglass : Alkali - Resistant Fiberglass, used in fiberglass reinforced (cement) concrete (GRC) materials, good alkali resistance, can effectively resist the erosion of high Alkali cement material, impact resistance, high tensile and bending strength, non-combustible, frost resistance, heat and wet resistance, crack resistance, good impermeability performance, with the characteristics of strong designability. AR Fiberglass is widely used in high performance reinforced (cement) concrete, as a new type of green environmental protection reinforced material.

Fiberglass Mesh : mainly used for corrosion situations, such as surface of gypsum board as reinforced material, model : 5mmx5mm, 4mmx5mm, etc..

Fiberglass Dosage : 1%-5%
