Cellulose HPMC in transparent paste (transparent hand soap, shower gel, shampoo)

hydroxypropyl methylcellulose HPMC for daily chemical detergent grade is a white or slightly yellow powder, and it is odorless, tasteless and non-toxic. It can be dissolved in cold water and organic solvents to form a transparent viscous solution. The water liquid has surface activity, high transparency, strong stability, and dissolves in water without being affected by pH. It has thickening and anti-freezing effects in shampoos and shower gels, and has water retention and good film-forming properties for hair and skin. With the substantial increase in basic raw materials, the use of cellulose (antifreeze thickener) in shampoos and shower gels can greatly reduce costs and achieve desired results. Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose HPMC is used for hand sanitizer.

Cellulose HPMC in transparent paste (transparent hand soap, shower gel, shampoo), low temperature opaque, how to solve it?

HPMC is used in hand sanitizers, shower gels and shampoos. Generally, it is difficult to be transparent at low temperatures. At present, there is almost no HPMC on the market that can be transparent at low temperatures in a system containing surface activity and NaCl. The main reason is that when the system has surface activity and NaCl at low temperatures (1-10 degrees), the hydrophilic properties of HPMC are challenged and will precipitate out of the system. Once the temperature returns to 15 degrees to room temperature, HPMC will slow down Slowly re-form a hydrogen bond network structure with water, dissolve again, and the system becomes transparent. It is precisely because HPMC will precipitate a small amount at low temperature that it has the performance of anti-low temperature jelly, and it is difficult to apply it in a transparent system. In addition, the different content of HPMC substitution degree groups (methoxy and hydroxypropoxy) also determines the difference in salt tolerance, low temperature precipitation, and anti-jelly performance of HPMC.

Daily Chemical Detergent Grade HPMC - Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose is a synthetic high molecular polymer prepared by chemical modification with natural cellulose as raw material. Cellulose ether is a derivative of natural cellulose. The production of cellulose ether is different from synthetic polymers. Its most basic material is cellulose, a natural polymer compound. Due to the special structure of natural cellulose, cellulose itself has no ability to react with etherifying agents. However, after the treatment of the swelling agent, the strong hydrogen bonds between the molecular chains and within the chain are destroyed, and the active release of the hydroxyl group becomes alkali cellulose with reactive ability. After the etherification agent reacts, the -OH group is converted into the -OR group. Obtain cellulose ether. Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose HPMC is used for hand sanitizer.

Characteristics and advantages of Detergent grade cellulose HPMC:
1. Low irritation, high mildness;
2. Broad pH stability, which can guarantee its stability in the range of pH 3-11;
3. Enhance conditioning;
4. Increase and stabilize foam, improve skin feel;
5. Effectively improve the fluidity of the system.

Application range of daily chemical detergent grade cellulose HPMC:
Used in shampoos, body washes, facial cleansers, lotions, creams, gels, toners, conditioners, styling products, toothpaste, saliva, toy bubble water.

The role of daily chemical grade cellulose HPMC
In cosmetic applications, it is mainly used for cosmetic thickening, foaming, stable emulsification, dispersion, adhesion, film formation and improvement of water retention performance, high-viscosity products are used as thickening, and low-viscosity products are mainly used for suspension and dispersion.
Dosage of daily chemical detergent grade cellulose HPMC:
The viscosity of hydroxypropyl methyl fiber suitable for the daily chemical industry is mainly 100,000, 150,000, 200,000. According to your own formula, the addition amount in the product is generally three to five thousandths, and it is used for hand sanitizer Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose.
